5K Your Way
5K Your Way
5K Your Way is a workplace well-being initiative that aims to improve people's health and fitness by providing a platform to increase their physical activity levels.
5K Your Way is open to people of all levels of fitness, with a particular focus on inexperienced or non-runners. The programme will support you by offering several weeks of free training sessions prior to a 5K run.
2013 Event
PRO-ACTIVE South London's annual 5K Your Way event took place on the evening of Thursday 18th July at Bushy Park. Despite the soaring heat the event saw people from the boroughs of Croydon, Hounslow, Kingston, Merton, Richmond and Sutton turn up and complete the 5K Your Way course.
In what is ultimately a participation event, boroughs were rewarded for having the largest number of entrants. Kingston led the way with a fantastic 40 registered participants, followed by Hounslow with 18 and Merton and Richmond joint third with 14 each.

Individual prizes were also awarded to the fastest finishers. Michelle Davis of Richmond was the fastest in the women's standings with a time of 21:17, followed by Samira Gentles (Croydon) and Karen Harty (Kingston). Dean Morley of Kingston was the fastest amongst the men, finishing in 18:43, with Miguel Fernandez (Kingston) in second and Nick Watson (Croydon) in third.
We want to thank everyone who took part and for supporting the event, and hope to see everybody again next year!
