Equality & Diversity
We are committed to promoting and developing sports equality, within our services and programmes and in our work with partner organisations.
What does equality mean in sport?
Equality in sport is fairness, equality of access, recognising inequalities and taking steps to address them. It is about changing the culture and structure of sport to ensure that it becomes equally accessible to all members of society, whatever their age, ability, gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality or socio-economic status.
What are we doing?
Our commitment and the steps we are taking to promote sport equality are outlined in detail our Equality Strategy.

We are:
- Working to ensure that equality and the needs of the population of South London are given full regard by undertaking equality impact assessments on its polices, programmes and services
- Working with organisations involved with equality in sport on increasing participation in under-represented groups including working with Interactive in developing 'Inclusive Activity'.
